Kingstonian defeated Bostik League South side Shoreham in a fluctuating FA Cup tie at Fetcham Grove.
Kane Haysman opened his K's career with a goal in the 8th minute, but the lead was short-lived as in the 14th minute Evan Archibald equalised.
The Musselmen were never out of the contest as K's failed to asset any authority on the game for long periods and Shoreham were rewarded when Mark Goldson gave his team the lead in the 41st minute.
However, K's were back on level terms in first half injury time when Lewis Taylor scored from the penalty spot.
The second half was a nervy affair as both teams tried to score a winner; after a foul in the box on Kane Haysman, Lewis Taylor scored his second penalty in the 72nd minute. Scott Packer was sent off late in the piece for a second yellow card, but K's held on to gain their first home victory at Fetcham Grove, £3,000 prize money and a place in the draw for the next round on Monday lunchtime.
This win means that the Bostik League Premier Division game away to Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday 16th September will have to be re-scheduled.
