Whitehawk 1-2 Kingstonian
K's come from behind on the South Coast to win their first pre-season game of the campaign.
On a hot summer night, Kingstonian travelled down to the Sussex coast to play Whitehawk, and, after going a goal behind, came back to earn a 2-1 victory.
The Hawks took the lead in the ninth minute when Rob Deda fired a free-kick past young Reading goalkeeper Myles Roberts, but the K's came back in the 18th minute when Simon Cooper glanced a header home from a Reece Hall free kick. Parity was maintained late in the first stanza when Roberts made an excellent double save.
The K's won the game in the 54th minute when a long free kick was allowed to move into the penalty area and was touched in by Calum Davies.
K's are next in action when they face last season's Super Play-Off winners Tonbridge Angels for a 3.00pm kick-off at the Longmead Stadium.
