Weekend Fixtures Postponed
The FA has taken the decision to postpone all football following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II
As a mark of respect following the passing yesterday of HM Queen Elizabeth II, all National League System, FA Trophy and grassroots fixtures, including Kingstonian's visit tomorrow afternoon to Canvey Island, will be postponed and re-scheduled.
Currently, League fixtures will resume from Monday 12th September onwards. although it is understood that no sporting event of any kind will take place on the day of the Queen’s funeral.
The decision to cancel this weekend’s fixtures was taken in accordance with protocol, namely by the FA, in consultation with DCMS as the appropriate government body. It is one which the Isthmian League fully supports.
