Teddy Bears to Sparkle
Kingstonian teddy bears to travel to Malawi to be adopted by Sparkle children.
Kingstonian Little Teddies are set to sparkle in Malawi as well as Kingston. One hundred little teddies are going to be sent to our charity partners Sparkle Malawi for the children in their care. We had sent “Sparkle” a couple of sample teddy bears and they loved them. Their CEO Sarah Brook is now going to take 100 more to Malawi in September as a gift to their kids from Kingstonian.
Meanwhile, back in Kingston, 25 Teddies were presented to some younger players at the Kingstonian Youth End of Season awards event on 18 May held at King George’s Field. Club mascot Kingstonian Ted was also in attendance to help present the little teddy bears. Two of the youth team coaches are also taxi drivers and are displaying the little Ks bears in their cabs.
Teddies were also presented to 20 young carers at a football fun session for young carers on 30 May. This was hosted by Kingstonian Youth at their Dinton Field ground with coaching provided by 4 youth team coaches. The young carers had a great time and loved their bears which are proving to be a big hit.
The little Ks teddies can also be purchased from the Ks club shop either on line or at the ground when the new season kicks off.
