Staines Town 0-5 Kingstonian

Kingstonian

A flurry of second half goals helped Kingstonian to a good win at Wheatsheaf Park.

Kingstonian continued their pre-mid-season tour with a 5-0 victory over Isthmian League South Central promotion challengers Staines Town at Wheatsheaf Park.

K's opened the scoring in first half injury time when Gus Sow stole possession from a defender, allowing Elliott Buchanan to run with the ball into the penalty area and he passed the ball into the net.

K's then scored four time in twelve second half minutes, beginning with a fine finish from Elliott Buchanan in the 70th minute, who teamed up for a neat 1-2 with Corie Andrews and then blasted the ball home into the bottom right corner.

Five minutes later, Corie Andrews extended the lead when he latched on to a back pass from a defender who was under pressure from Elliott Buchanan - Corie seized possession, rounded the keeper and scored Kingstonian's third.

The fun continued in the 78th minute when Tom Howard finished a move, scoring from a rebound after Kevin Nyarko's shot was blocked.

Finally in the 82nd minute, Corie Andrews got his second of the evening when a corner was half cleared to the edge of the penalty area, only for Andrews to blast the ball home with a great finish.

K's are next in action this coming Saturday when they visit Ashford Town (Middlesex) for a 3.00pm kick-off.
