Sheerwater 1-4 Kingstonian
K's advance to the quarter-final of the Surrey Senior Cup at the expense of the Sheers.
The scoreline looks comfortable enough, however in truth this game was anything but, as Kingstonian moved into the Quarter-Final of the Surrey Senior Cup with a 4-1 victory over Combined Counties League club Sheerwater at the Eastwood Leisure Centre.
Kingstonian led 1-0 at half time thanks to a fine finish in the 21st minute from Rhys Murrell-Williamson, and then in the second half Elliott Buchanan scored another county cup hat-trick with goals in the 56th, 76th and 79th minutes.
Sheerwater performed much better than the 4-0 score indicated and at least put themselves on the score sheet with an 86th minute goal from Toni Kozakis, something that their efforts absolutely deserved.
K's were able to give two of the current Under 18s squad their first team debuts, with Kwesi Ntim and Iker Noguera Leon both appearing as second half substitutes. Kingstonian now join both Lingfield and Balham in the last eight of the competition, with five other ties still to be played.
