Reg Taylor 1939-2020

Renowned former K's and Woking man passes away.

Kingstonian Football Club is saddened to have learned of the recent passing of Reg Taylor.

Reg was an FA Amateur Cup winner with Woking in 1958, before moving to Richmond Road in the summer of 1960, making his Kingstonian debut at Sandy Lane in a 0-2 loss against Tooting and Mitcham United. However, Reg went on to make 384 appearances for Kingstonian (currently 7th in the all-time K's appearance list), scoring eleven times.

He was part of four county cup winning teams for Kingstonian during the 1960s, winning both the Surrey and London Senior Cups in 1963, and two more London victories in 1965 and 1967, before his retirement in 1968. He was a versatile player, who played primarily in defence as a full back, wing back or centre half, but also could be seen in the inside forward or centre forward positions.

All at Kingstonian FC send their condolences to the family and friends of one of Richmond Road's finest players.
