Potters Bar Town 3-2 Kingstonian

Potters Bar Town

K's fight back from two down and then concede right at the end.

Kingstonian battled back from two goals down midway through the second half, only to concede a soft goal in the 90th minute and lose all the points at Potters Bar Town.

The Scholars opened the scoring in the 7th minute through a Lewis Smith goal and then, after a long period of having the upper hand and missing some good chances, K's conceded again from a breakaway in the 65th minute with Charncey Dash providing the finishing touch.

But K's showed a lot of good character in coming back to level terms - almost immediately after coming on as substitute, David Nyarko was fouled by Potters Bar goalkeeper Louis Chadwick inside the penalty area, which allowed Tom Collins to score a 69th minute penalty. Six minutes later Collins converted Nyarko's shot to give the K's parity and it seemed that if there was going to be a winner, then it would be the visitors.

It wouldn't be the case as K's finished the match in the same careless manner than they started it, and in the 90th minute Adam Martin ended a goalmouth stramash that wasn't dealt with and prodded the ball home for what became the winner.

Herne Bay's win over Carshalton Athletic at Colston Avenue now brings them to within two points of the K's with just six games remaining - we will go again next Saturday when we host Haringey Borough at Imperial Fields for a 3pm kick-off.
