Micky Cook

Kingstonian FC is saddened by the news of the recent passing of Micky Cook.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of former K's player, coach and assistant manager of the club, Micky Cook.

Micky joined Kingstonian in the 1974-75 season, and played 121 games for them, scoring 29 goals. In the 1976-77 season he signed for what became the great Leatherhead team of the late seventies and played a total of 317 games for the Tanners between 1977 and 1983.

He returned to Kingstonian for the 1983-84 season and made a further 37 appearances for the K's, scoring once. When Chris Kelly became club manager in 1986, he was appointed as his coach and later assistant manager, with Kingstonian winning the London Senior Cup in 1986-87. At the end of the 1988-89 season, he made one substitute appearance in the final match of the campaign, along with Chris Kelly!

He left the K's and joined Alan Gane's coaching team at Sutton United in the 1993-94 season.

We'd like to extend our condolences to Micky Cook's family and friends at this very sad time.
