Merstham 2-0 Kingstonian

Merstham

The Moatsiders kept their play-off hopes alive against a disappointing K's team.

It was another warm afternoon during this 2019 Easter break, and for the second time in three days, K's went down to defeat, this time it was against play-off chasing Merstham.

The home side always held their visitors at arm's length as they cruised to a two goal victory. The first goal came in the 29th minute thanks to Gus Sow, before Roman Michel-Percil doubled the lead in the first minute of first half added time. Both sides did manage to hit the bar in an otherwise mostly action free second half, and Merstham can now look forward to a visit to Worthing on Saturday where a win could give them a play-off place.

Meanwhile, Kingstonian finish off the 2018-19 season with a home game against a Leatherhead side who only today have dropped out of the promotion race. Kick-off at King George's Field will be the usual 3.00pm.
