Louie Signs!

Kingstonian

We are delighted to confirm that striker Louie Theophanous has signed a new contract for the coming season.

Kingstonian Football Club are delighted to confirm that Louie Theophanous has signed a new contract for the coming season.

Following lengthy discussions with manager Hayden Bird, the striker celebrated putting pen to paper yesterday with a six minute hat-trick at Tonbridge Angels.

"I'm delighted that Louie has committed his future to Kingstonian," said Hayden. "He is here because he wants to play for this club. To his credit, Louie has turned down a number of lucrative offers to sign this deal. His motivation is to bring silverware to this football club."

"Louie has been impressive in pre-season. In addition to having a tremendous attitude, his technical ability and physical presence fits perfectly into our style of play."

Having played a pivotal part in the team's performace on Saturday, the Gaffer was delighted with the striker's contribution:

"He is a natural goalscorer. There is no doubting his ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Louie will score goals, that's four already in pre-season."

So how satisfied is the new boss with the team in pre-season?

"I'm pleased with the players. The new ones have embraced the new ideas, and the lads who have worked with me previously have settled well into our new environment."

"The results are unimportant in pre-season. What is important is we continue to work and we continue to improve. The next two weeks are essential for us."

"The start of the season is unforgiving with five tough games on the spin. I expect every club from our first five games to be challenging for promotion. We have to make sure that we are ready."

"Thankfully, Fabio, Sean and Rob all return on Monday and Tutu will be available for selection at Grays. Introducing these four players back into the fold will be another boost for us."

Kingstonian continue their pre-season preparations away to Grays Athletic at Aveley FC on Wednesday night.
