Ks Supports Football v Homophobia

Wednesday sees Kingstonian supporting Football vs Homophobia
This article is a repeat of the article published in February for the original attempt at playing our match against Bowers and Pitsea, which was our allocated match in support of this important campaign. We will be renewing our support for Football v Homophobia this Wednesday.
“Football v Homophobia” is an international initiative that challenges discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity at all levels of football. It wants football to take a clear stand against homophobia and transphobia so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful game and so that football leads the way in removing discrimination and prejudice based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Football v Homophobia International Month of Action takes place every year in February to tackle homophobia and prejudice against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) people in football. Each year, they encourage clubs, players, coaches, referees, fans and other stakeholders to participate in the campaign in any way they can.
The match is being sponsored by the Kingstonian Supporters Club, with assistance from Surrey Football Association who are providing training kits and footballs in support of the campaign. There will also be posters, flags and banners around the ground showing that Kingstonian promotes Football for Everyone. It would be great if you could also think of ways that you could help our great club become more inclusive.
By participating in the Month of Action, Kingstonian Football Club is committed to working towards inclusion for all; aiming to drive all forms of discrimination out of football.
