Kingstonian v Homophobia

Kingstonian FC and Kingstonian Supporters Club have designated next Wednesday's game to support Football vs Homophobia.
We are proud to announce that our next home game against Wingate and Finchley will be the designated match to support the Football v Homophobia Month of Action #FvH2020. Football v Homophobia is an international initiative that exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels of football. It wants football to take a clear stand against homophobia and transphobia so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful game and so that football leads the way in removing discrimination and prejudice based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Football v Homophobia Month of Action takes place every year in February. It is an international campaign to tackle homophobia and prejudice against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) people in football. Every year, they encourage clubs, players, coaches, referees, fans and other stakeholders to participate in the campaign in any way they can. Kingstonian will actively look to involve both sets of players and the officials in the campaign.
The match is being sponsored by the Kingstonian Supporters Club, and the Surrey Football Association are providing training kits and footballs all in support of the campaign. There will also be lots of posters, flags and banners around the ground showing that Kingstonian promotes Football for Everyone. It would be great if you could also think of ways that you could help our great club become more inclusive.
The Supporters Club is also currently in contact with LGBTQ+ groups in the Kingston area asking them to promote the match, to come to the match, and provide any literature they can.
By participating in the Month of Action, Kingstonian Football Club is committed to working towards inclusion for all. The aim is to drive all forms of discrimination out of football. If you want to know more or have any ideas for future events or initiatives, please contact the Club who will pass your details on to us.
