Kingstonian 4-1 Folkestone Invicta

Kingstonian

Outstanding K's produce their best performance for ages and defeat the Invicta 4-1 at King George's Field.

Kingstonian produced the performance of the season so far with a fine 4-1 victory over Folkestone Invicta.

An even first half ended with K's taking the lead in the 39th minute when Louie Theophanous came back from his suspension to notch the first goal.

The second half started alarmingly when Rob Tolfrey was forced to leave the field with a concussion - eight minutes later replacement goalie Sean Francis was picking the ball out of the net as Folkestone equalised through Jack Evans in the 63rd minute.

But K's were having none of it and flew straight down the other end as Theophanous scored his second goal in the 65th minute. Any of those "one goal lead nerves" were dispelled late in the game when Elliott Buchanan finished the game off as a contest in the 86th minute before James Daly scored his first Kingstonian goal in the 90th minute.

With Wednesday's scheduled visit to Fetcham Grove postponed due to Leatherhead's FA Cup replay at Hanwell Town, Kingstonian's next game is away to Worthing on Saturday 13th October, kick-off at 3pm.
