Kingstonian 3-1 Haringey Borough
A Corie Andrews hat-trick helps K's to a fine win to move the hoops up to sixth.
Kingstonian go into the second lockdown of 2020 in sixth place in the Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division after an excellent 3-1 victory over a good Haringey Borough team.
After the game was delayed by 45 minutes due to traffic issues for the Borough players, Corie Andrews opened the scoring for the home side with a shot in the 33rd minute. Haringey then got themselves back into the game one minute before the break when a cross allowed Laste Dombaxe to equalise from close range.
Parity lasted until the 59th minute when a corner was half cleared into the path of Andrews just outside the penalty area, and he rifled the ball home with a first time blast. He completed a magnificent hat-trick in the 73rd minute with a tremendous shot from a narrow angle. Haringey pushed forward to try and get themselves back into the game, but, apart from one headed effort being disallowed, the K's stayed firm and held out to win a deserved three points.
We now have an enforced four week break and hope to be able to announce when our next game will be as soon as possible.
