Kingstonian 3-1 Corinthian-Casuals
K's win a hard fought local derby with two late goals.
Kingstonian came from behind to defeat Corinthian-Casuals 3-1 in a tough local derby at King George's Field.
The visitors took the lead in the 31st minute when Ben Cheklit's shot evaded Rob Tolfrey, but the lead lasted just seven minutes as Eddie Dsane scored a superb individual goal to level the scores.
The longer that the second half went on, the more possession Kingstonian had, but it looked like the K's would draw yet another league game until Dan Bennett was up-ended in the penalty area as the clock ticked over into added time. Tom Kavanagh stepped up and did the business to give the home side the lead. Dan Bennett added a fabulous third goal in the third minute of added time when he dispossessed a defender and deftly lobbed keeper Danny Bracken. The final whistle went soon after and K's had finally broken the run of draws with a fine derby victory.
The hoops will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Enfield Town for a 3.00pm kick-off.
