Kingstonian 2-4 Cheshunt

Disappointing K's thumped by hungry Ambers
Kingstonian's long unbeaten league run has now been successfully bookended with disappointing defeats at the hands of Cheshunt - on 4th January, the Ambers beat the K's 3-1 at the Cheshunt Stadium, tonight at King George's Field, the Ambers (wearing blue) did better, earning themselves a deserved 4-2 victory over a sluggish Kingstonian team.
Who knows what might have happened had Andre Coker not hit the bar with a 16th minute penalty, but this was the catalyst for a poor team performance as their opponents took the game away from them.
In the 33rd minute, Cheshunt took the lead when Tanasheh Abrahams' shot at goal took a deflection off Sean Clohessy and Craig Edwards' men had the lead at the break.
Whatever was said at half time, it didn't work for the K's as Cheshunt doubled the lead in the 53rd minute with the goal of the night, a long range howitzer from Jamie Reynolds.
Kingstonian gave themselves some hope in the 57th minute when Omarr Lawson finished off a nice move with his first goal in a K's shirt, but the home side went asleep in the 66th minute and allowed former Kingstonian striker Reece Beckles-Richards to sprint clear and finish well to regain the two goal lead.
Four minutes later in the 70th minute, another former Kingstonian goal-getter, this time Ryan Moss, finished the match off as a contest with his team's fourth goal, before Eddie Dsane's shot in the 92nd minute gave the scoreline a little bit of respectability but didn't hide the fact that Cheshunt thoroughly deserved what they got on the night.
K's are now unbeaten in the league against clubs not called Cheshunt since 23rd October, and will be hoping to continue that particular record when they face promotion candidates Folkestone Invicta on Saturday. Kick-off at King George's Field is the usual 3.00pm.
