Kingstonian 2-1 Lewes
Ten-man K's win their fifth straight home league game with a dramatic late Elliott Buchanan winner.
Kingstonian moved up to 11th place in the Bostik League Premier Division with a dramatic and very important 2-1 win against Lewes.
K's took the lead in the 14th minute thanks to a James Daly close range goal, but things took a turn for the worse in the 37th minute when Tommy Brewer was awarded a second yellow card and had to leave the field.
Lewes took advantage of the numerical superiority in the first minute of the second half when Jonte Smith scored.
But K's dug in, and got a magnificent reward with six minutes remaining when Alfie Doughty produced a wonderful run down the right and cross into the box, which found Elliott Buchanan inside the six yard box, who headed home under pressure. This time K's were able to keep hold of a lead and earned themselves a vital three points.
K's will next be in action on Wednesday night when the league leaders Tonbridge Angels are in town, kick-off at King George's Field will be 7.45pm.
