Kingstonian 2-0 Hornchurch

Kingstonian

Kingstonian move into the top ten with their third consecutive victory and first clean sheet.

After a hard fought 2-0 victory at home to Hornchurch, the K's broke into the top ten of the Premier Division for the first time this season.

The first half was a cagey affair with both teams cancelling each other out for large periods of the stanza, but Tom Kavanagh's long range shot in the 70th minute blew the game open as Kingstonian's number six saw his blast take a vicious deflection and end up in the back of the net.

K's were the better team from then on and deserved to double their lead when substitute Tom Howard launched a super cross from the left wing to Kadell Daniel, whose volley inside the penalty area was more difficult than it looked. The visitors tried to claw their way back into the game, but the home side proved to be too strong and they extended their winning run to three whilst moving into eighth in the Premier Division.

Next up is the second attempt to play our away match at Enfield Town, as we travel to the QEII Stadium on Tuesday night after last week's postponement due to a waterlogged pitch.
