Kingstonian 1-3 Farnborough

A third defeat in a row in pre-season but more importantly, valuable minutes in the tank for the players.
Farnborough goalkeeper Liam Stone was arguably the man of the match with a string of excellent saves that helped his team to a 3-1 victory against Kingstonian at King George's Field.
The 'Boro took a 2-0 lead thanks to two strange goals - in the third minute Elliot Bonds' ball into the penalty area was mishit and flew into the top corner past a disbelieving Rob Tolfrey, and in the 37th minute a shot from Andrew Sealey-Harris took a vicious deflection and ballooned over Tolfrey and into the net.
K's got one back with a minute to go in the half with a nice move down the middle, ended with the finish by Youssef Bamba.
The second half saw Kingstonian play some good football for much of the half, but were unable to put the ball into the net thanks in a large part to some excellent goalkeeping, so it was no surprise that Farnborough won the game in the 72nd minute with a clinical counter attack and fine finish by substitute Perry Coles.
Our second week of pre-season matches continues on Tuesday with a visit to Whitehawk - kick-off on the South Coast will be 7.45pm.
