Kingstonian 1-2 Folkestone Invicta

K's may not have turned the corner yet, but they're approaching it.
Folkestone Invicta kept up their promotion challenge with a hard-fought 2-1 win over a spirited and battling Kingstonian team.
After holding their Kentish opponents for three quarters of a game that had seen Elliott Buchanan had a goal disallowed for offside and debutant goalkeeper Julian Schwarzer make one or two outstanding saves, Folkestone blew the game open in the 71st and 75th minutes when David Smith and Ade Yusuff scored with fine shots from an angle. Ollie Cook managed to get one back after a goalmouth stramash, but were not able to grab themselves an equaliser.
The result may be the same, but this was a better Kingstonian performance, and if they play like this with this type of spirit in future matches then surely this run of poor results will end sooner rather than later.
