Kingstonian 1-1 Horsham

Horsham

K's plot their own demise as Hornets secure a replay on Tuesday night.

Kingstonian and Horsham must meet again on Tuesday night to decide passage into the Third Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

After a stale and goalless first half, Horsham started the brighter with a couple of rasping blasts from Alex Laing, but Kingstonian took the lead in the 60th minute when Jason Banton converted a penalty that was awarded for handball on the goal-line.

K's were unable to put the tie to bed and were duly punished in the 83rd minute by their usual nemesis, the former Kingstonian player. K's had threatened to cause themselves some issues with some lax passing, and it was Tom Kavanagh on cue to intercept a short pass and fire the ball home from the edge of the penalty area.

The teams will now play again on Tuesday night at the Camping World Community Stadium, 7.45pm kick-off, for the right to play in the next round, the draw for which will be announced around 1pm on Monday morning.

The Kingstonian Supporters Club will be running a coach to Horsham, leaving Kingsmeadow at 5.45pm, and then Tolworth Broadway outside the Marks and Spencer sign at the bus stop at 6.05pm. The coach will cost £12 (Supporters Club Members, £17 for non-members), to book your place please contact supporters@kingstonian.com or phone Geoff Yorke on 07899 934736.
