Kingstonian 0-1 Worthing
K's go out of the Velocity Trophy at their first hurdle.
An 88th minute goal from substitute Owen Wordsell gave visitors Worthing a 1-0 victory over Kingstonian in the Third Round of the Velocity Trophy at King George's Field.
In a game of few chances, Worthing enjoyed more of the attacking pressure than did the K's but both teams worked overtime to try to avoid a penalty shoot-out, and it was only with two minutes remaining when Wordsell got to a rebound first after Serine Sanneh made a good save from a goalbound shot.
The Mackerel Men now visit Haywards Heath Town in the Fourth Round, whilst Kingstonian still are on the search for their first win in an Isthmian League Cup match since actually winning the final in 2016...
