K's assistant manager goes back to Nyewood Lane.

Kingstonian Football Club has confirmed that Assistant Manager Jamie Howell has left the club to return to Bognor Regis Town.

Jamie, who has become an integral part of Hayden's back room staff, leaves us with our thanks and very best wishes. Having arrived in November 2020, the former Eastbourne Borough manager has become a popular and highly respected figure around the club.

"Firstly, I'd like to thank Jamie for doing such an outstanding job. I'll miss him, he is a good friend and an exceptional coach," said Kingstonian manager Hayden Bird.

"When Jamie arrived, I promised him that I would not stand in his way if Bognor wanted him. Therefore, when Jack phoned me on Sunday afternoon asking for permission to speak to Jamie, we reluctantly agreed."

"Jamie lives in Sussex, his business is based in Sussex and his son plays for Brighton. Bognor and Jamie are a perfect fit and, on this occasion, our loss is their gain. Having both played for Bognor and managed them, he has a close affiliation with the club and we all understand that. I speak on behalf of everyone at Kingstonian FC in wishing him every success."

"I would like to confirm that I have left Kingstonian FC to take up a new role at Bognor Regis Town," stated Howell  "The decision was a difficult one for me as everyone at the Club has made me feel exceptionally welcome and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the players and the staff".

"I would like to thank Hayden for bringing me to the Club, Kevin, the Directors, the management staff and all the fans for making my time at Kingstonian so enjoyable. I am convinced that the Club will gain the promotion they deserve. With Hayden in charge and the current squad in place, I am sure this will be very soon."

"Good luck for the rest of the season and thank you".
