Jake Hutchings joins, Dan Thompson departs

Kingstonian Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jake Hutchings, whilst striker Dan Thompson leaves the hoops.
Jake Hutchings arrives from Leiston, having also played in the National South last season. In an unexpected twist, Jake started the season as the captain of Braintree Town and was later appointed as the Caretaker Manager.
The 25 year old was an important part of the Merstham team that reached the Play-Off Final and has also enjoyed successful spells with Hearts and Torquay United.
"I am delighted to welcome Jake to Kingstonian," beamed Hayden. "He is a player I know very well and has the leadership qualities we need to improve the team.”
“Jake is an excellent central defender who will be a big addition to our squad. He is strong defensively, very comfortable in possession and will provide us with good options tactically.”
“I'm delighted he has signed for Kingstonian and am looking forward to working with him."
Hayden also confirmed Dan Thompson has left the Club. "I have spoken to Thommo on two or three occasions and he has decided to move on.”
“Dan is a good striker and a fantastic lad. I have no doubt wherever he goes, he will be a great success. He had a frustrating time last year but conducted himself impeccably. I’d like to thank Dan and wish him great success with his new club. He's a top lad."
The Manager also warned of further departures as he assembles the squad for new campaign.
“As always at this time of year, there will be comings and goings. It's perfectly natural and will happen at every Club. It would be ideal to keep everyone but it's going to be very difficult to do so. Any player that leaves K’s will leave with our thanks and our best wishes."
"I expect to announce another two or three new signings within the next week to ten days. I'm very excited about the quality of players we are in discussions with. The squad is going to be blessed with real quality. I cannot wait to get started!"
On behalf everyone at Kingstonian, welcome Jake and thank you Dan!
