Hayden Bird's update

Hayden Bird with a brief update of his thoughts.
As you all know, in the opening days of the month, I write a Manager's Report offering my thoughts of the previous four weeks.
With so much going on in March, I would like to apologise for not having penned an update. However, as I sit here writing these notes on Thursday evening, the victories, the draws and the disappointment seem somewhat futile. Despite how much we all love football, with the incomprehensible predicament the country finds itself in, the beautiful game seems somewhat irrelevant right now.
At the time of writing, we have no idea when the season will recommence, if indeed it will start at all. Personally, I would suggest there is an increasing likelihood the current season will be deemed "null and void". I'm not "in the know" of course. I only hope common sense prevails and the decision makers realise the importance of finding the right outcome. Equally, let’s hope the FA and the Isthmian League make the decision with an element of perspective. After all, at our level it's only football.
During these testing times, as a team, we would like to send our best wishes to our supporters and their families. When our lives return to some degree of normality, I will write the February/March update. If the FA decide to finish the season without the campaign being completed, at the appropriate time I will appraise the season in it's entirety.
In the meantime, look after yourself, your loved ones and we will see you soon.
