Early goals in both halves by a former K's man dooms the visitors to a defeat.
Lyle Della Verde was one of the many thousands or so players who have played for Kingstonian in the last two or three years, and he followed a fine tradition for these players by scoring against his former club.
Lyle made two appearances for the K's last month in the Dean Brennan era, and got his revenge with goals for promotion-chasing Haringey Borough in the opening throes of each half. Goals in the second minute and the 51st did enough for the home side to 99% guarantee themselves play-off football in May in front of a crowd of 511.
K's are still almost safe from the drop but will hope to have this situation set in stone this coming Saturday when they host AFC Hornchurch at King George's Field, kick-off is the normal 3.00pm.
