Declan Skura joins Wycombe Wanderers

Declan Skura

Talented young defender moves to Adams Park

Kingstonian FC are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached for the permanent transfer of Declan Skura to EFL League One side Wycombe Wanderers with immediate effect.

We are sure that everyone will be delighted that Declan has achieved his dream of becoming a professional footballer, and that our Club has played its part in assisting him on this journey.

We would like to thank Declan for his efforts throughout his time at the Club and wish him every success in his future career.

As another graduate of Nigel James' Academy, it is clear that Declan has benefitted greatly from the influence and guidance that Nigel has provided him with, having coached him from the age of 10 years old, initially through Nigel James Elite Coaching, before bringing Declan to Kingstonian via Hanworth Villa.

In Nigel James we believe we have the best man in the South of England for identifying, nurturing and developing firstly great young men, and secondly superb footballers.

Declan’s transfer follows that of Bryant Akono Bilongo who moved to Championship side Middlesbrough in January 2022, and who recently was a named substitute for Middlesbrough in their league game against Millwall only last month.

Finally, the Club would like to thank Tom Holder, Sam Grace and Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe Wanderers for their professionalism during negotiations, and we look forward to welcoming Wycombe Wanderers for a pre-season friendly, which was agreed as part of the deal.
