Cray Wanderers 1-2 Kingstonian

K's now unbeaten in four games with a welcome win at Hayes Lane.
Kingstonian came from behind to gain a fine win over Cray Wanderers at Hayes Lane.
The Wands took the lead in the 18th minute with a free kick from Anthony Cook, who scored from 25 yards out. When a team concedes the lead, it's vitally important if at all possible to get back on level terms as quickly as possible, and today Kingstonian did just that. Two minutes after going behind, the K's equalised in the 20th minute when a lovely cross from Teo Kurtaran was converted at close range by Daniel Ajakaiye.
It's been a difficult start to Kingstonian life for forward Walter Figueira, but today in his thirteenth appearance he scored his first goal in the hoops and it was the game winner. Ten minutes into the second half, K's won a corner that was taken by Kenny Beaney, the Wands didn't clear the ball away properly, which allowed Figueira to finish well. Julian Schwarzer was on hand to make a fine save in the dying seconds to confirm Kingstonian's win and the visitors moved up to 8th place in the division.
Coming up are three home games in quick succession as Carshalton Athletic visit next Saturday, followed by Chertsey Town in the county cup semi-final on Wednesday 6th and then current second place in the league Bishop's Stortford on Saturday 9th April.
