Corinthian-Casuals 1-2 Kingstonian

The K's moved into second place with a hard-fought victory over the landlords.
Kingstonian completed the double over Corinthian-Casuals with a hard-fought 2-1 win. James Daly opened the scoring for the K's in the 37th minute, knocking in a cross at the far post before the visitors had a shot cleared off the line with many wondering where VAR was when you need it.
K's continued the pressure in the second half as both James Daly and Elliott Buchanan had spectacular goals chalked off for offside, but they got the second goal they deserved in the 81st minute when Alfie Doughty forced Jack Strange to poke the ball into his own net under pressure from Delano Sam-Yorke.
A collective defensive mess-up two minutes later allowed Corinthian-Casuals back into the game as Gabriel Odunaike scored when three K's defenders didn't clear and this threatened a grandstand finish but K's stayed strong and claimed all three points.
The hoops now have a rest until 1st January when Merstham are the visitors to King George's Field for a 3.00pm kick-off.
