Carshalton Athletic 2-2 Kingstonian

Carshalton Athletic

A very exciting local derby at Colston Avenue ends all square.

This was the kind of game where both teams will feel that they should have won the game and can't quite work out whether a point each was a fair result or not.

K's opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when a long range Louie Theophanous shot beat Robins' goalkeeper Kleton Perntreou. The visitors then took a two goal lead in the 58th minute with an outstanding goal when Dan Hector's run down the left and Dan Bennett's lay back allowed Reece Hall to thunder the ball into the back of the net.

But the Robins were never out of the game and came back to parity - firstly in the 69th minute Danny Dudley curling shot evaded Rob Tolfrey, and then Ricky Korboa equalised seven minutes later. Carshalton then looked likely to complete the comeback, but K's finally got their act together, had the better of the last few minutes but when the final whistle blew, both teams, almost completely out of their feet, had to be content with a draw.

Did K's deserve to win or lose the game? The answer has to be yes.
