Canvey Island 3-0 Kingstonian
Ordinary K's destroyed in the first half by rampant Gulls.
Kingstonian's maddening inconsistency was all too apparent at the Movie Starr Stadium in Canvey Island as the hosts deservedly eased to a 3-0 victory that could have been even worse after a dreadful first half performance from the hoops.
Arguably the Gulls should have been two-up already before being gifted a penalty in the 9th minute, which was put away by Conor Hubble. Bradley Sach then scored twice in the 28th minute and then with the final kick of the first half to complete the scoring to end the game as a contest.
The second half saw very little action, Sam Jackson and Canvey goalkeeper Bobby Mason both made fine saves close to the end of the game but it was a relief when the final whistle went. Kingstonian's alternating habit of good game, bad game, good game, etc., etc., hopefully won't be broken just yet when they face Leatherhead at Fetcham Grove on Tuesday night in the Third Round of the Velocity Cup. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
