Bowers and Pitsea 2-2 Kingstonian

Tyrese Owen

The draw specialists do it again.

It could be said that K's have become artists as this season they have become so good at drawing - Kingstonian's trip to Bowers and Pitsea produced their sixth draw out of eight league games this season.

The first half was a lively affair, but it wasn't until the 31st minute that there was a goal when Bowers and Pitsea defender Jamal Allen managed to head into an empty net from twenty yards out when under no pressure after a calamitous breakdown in communications between himself and his goalkeeper. But the defender deserves an enormous amount of credit in the way he reacted to this own goal when he equalised for his team just two minutes later.

However, K's took the lead again in the 38th minute thanks to a Tyrese Owen goal and the visitors deservedly led at the break.

Bowers and Pitsea were the better team after half time as Kingstonian's intensity went down a few notches and there was no surprise when Duane Ofori-Acheampong got Bowers' second equaliser of the afternoon in the 64th minute. There was no further scoring as the teams cancelled each other out and the two adversaries had to be content with a point each.
