Bowers and Pitsea 0-1 Kingstonian

Daniel Ajakaiye

After a game that won't live long in the memory, K's do the important thing to win and stay top.

Kingstonian remain top of the Premier Division after a hard fought 1-0 win over hosts Bowers and Pitsea after a game of precious few chances.

K's enjoyed most of the possession of the game but were largely unable to do much in the way of positive things for 75 minutes until a piece of brilliance on the left wing, including a wonderful turn and cross, from Bryant Akono Bilongo allowed Daniel Ajakaiye to steam in and beat a defender to the ball to score the only goal of the contest.

The visitors then kept the home side at bay for the rest of the game to pick up the three points as they remain one point clear of Bognor Regis Town at the top of the Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division.

K's will next be in action this coming Wednesday for a massive fixture against the Mackerel Men from Worthing, kick-off at King George's Field will be 7.45pm.
