Bognor Regis Town 1-1 Kingstonian

A gutsy Kingstonian performance sees Elliott Buchanan get a late equaliser to earn a deserved point.
This could have been one of those days - with K's missing three centre backs through injury against a team of the quality of Bognor Regis Town, it could have been yet another unhappy visit to Nyewood Lane. This time, however, it wasn't.
It could have started brilliantly for the visitors when Jason Banton's shot hit the post early in the game, but some sustained Rocks pressure was rewarded with a penalty in the 16th minute that was converted by James Crane.
Rob Tolfrey was responsible for keeping Bognor out in the first half with a couple of outstanding stops and then one early in the second half, and soon enough, Kingstonian managed to claw their way into the contest and slowly it became more likely that the visitors would be the next scorers in this game. And so it came to pass, when Elliott Buchanan finished off a fine Kingstonian move in the 83rd minute. K's even pressed for a late winner, but anytime a K's team doesn't lose away to Bognor Regis is a good time. Today was a good time.
Next up is a visit to Royston Town in the FA Trophy First Round next Saturday for a 3pm kick-off. Check out the Supporters Club Away Travel page for details on how to get yourself on a luxury Anderson Coach for the trip.
