Billericay Town 5-1 Kingstonian
Nothing good to see here.
Any positive vibes, any momentum, any good spirits after the win at Enfield Town were comprehensively quenched as a poor showing in the first half followed rapidly by a dire one in the second half condemned Kingstonian to a worrying 5-1 defeat at the New Lodge against a rampant Billericay Town.
A first half oal mouth stramash gave Billericay an early lead with Daniel Quick scoring from close range in the seventh minute. K's were on the back foot for much of the first half but held their own and looked to have gained a morale boosting hold in the game when Tyrese Owen's shot from the edge of the area gave K's an equaliser in the first minute of added time.
The second half was disastrous almost from start to finish as Billericay sealed a deserved and deservedly comprehensive win with four goals thanks to Alfie Cerulli (54m), Bradley Stevenson (62m), Marvel Ekpiteta (73m - just seconds after coming on as a substitute) and Eze Ebozoeme (75m - the tradition of ex-K's scoring against the K's carries on...).
If the weather allows, K's will have to so much better on Tuesday night when they visit Wingate and Finchley for an enormously important game that kicks off at 7.45pm at the Maurice Rebak Stadium.
