Alfie Young signs for Kingstonian
Former Worthing defender joins from Potters Bar Town
Kingstonian FC is delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated central defender, Alfie Young.
Young, now twenty-four, was the former captain of Watford’s Youth Team. More recently, he enjoyed a very successful career at Worthing before making a surprise move to Potters Bar earlier this season.
"I am delighted to sign such an outstanding player in Alfie," beamed Manager Hayden Bird. "He is a player we have monitored closely and were looking to sign in the Summer. However, we were made aware last week that with Lee leaving Potters Bar, he may be available. We knew other clubs were interested and so decided to fast forward our plans. He will be an excellent addition to the Kingstonian squad".
Alfie will go straight into the squad on Wednesday night, facing his former club Worthing in the Velocity Trophy.
The Manager also confirmed a further signing would be announced within the next twenty four hours.
