Addai signs!

Alex Addai

Alex Addai returns to the red and white hoops.

Kingstonian Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Alex Addai.

The 28-year-old forward reunites with manager Hayden Bird, having signed from Hemel Hempstead Town.

Alex will be a familiar face to many K's fans. The speedy winger made twenty-eight appearances in the 2014-15 season, before moving on to a successful spell with Grays Athletic.

It was at Merstham where Alex discovered his top form. In addition to establishing Merstham as one of the most respected teams in the League, the diminutive winger was a pivotal figure in the Moatsiders' memorable FA Cup and Surrey Senior Cup successes.

Such was Alex's success in amber and black, he returned to League football in 2018 with Cheltenham Town. Having been at the Johnny-Rocks Stadium for three years, in August he re-joined former Robins boss Gary Johnson to play in the National League at Torquay United. In November he moved to Hemel and this afternoon he re-united with Hayden and Kingstonian.

"I know the supporters were disappointed to see Rhys leave," said manager Hayden Bird. " He was a popular player both on the terraces and in the dressing room. However, during the course of the season, there are occasions when the player and/or the manager has to make a decision. Rhys is a good lad and we wish him success with Lewes."

"Kingstonian have now signed the player I have been trying to sign since July. Alex has the quality and the character to take the team forward. I am absolutely delighted to be working with Alex once again. We have a great relationship, have always kept in touch, and I am very excited to be working with him again!"

Alex with be in the squad for tomorrow's match at Potters Bar Town.
