Kingstonian gained their second big away win in two games with a resounding 9-2 win at South Park in the Preliminary Round of the FA Youth Cup.
The scoring started in the second minute when Alex Body, who scored four goals last Tuesday in the 6-2 win at Dorking Wanderers, notched another one when he received the ball on the edge of the area with his back to goal, turned and shot past the hosts' goalkeeper for an early opener.
The lead was doubled in the 10th minute as disaster struck for the unfortunate South Park goalkeeper when his clearance was charged down by Callum Stephens, who was able to pass the ball into the empty net.
Two minutes later, the lead was three when a long range blast from Kylron Pierre found the back of the net. South Park were thwarted several times in their attempts to get back into the game, but Shay Honey was on form with a number of saves. Then in the 30th minutes, the K's scored their fourth with a counter attack that saw Iker Noguera Leon find Alex Body on the left, who darted in and shot the ball home from an acute angle. Goal number five arrived in the 38th minute - Kwesi Ntim's powerful run down the centre ended with the ball being half cleared to the right wing, where Kylron Pierre produced a super cross, which effectively rebounded off Alex Body, with the ball rolling over the line.
South Park deserved to get on the scoresheet, and it was in the 54th minute when they did so, when a long ball from the left found Abdourahane Sila on the right corner of the penalty area and his volleyed strike was just brilliant.
The five goal margin was restored in the 60th minute thanks to another fast break; the ball arrived at the feet of Alex Body, who held it up waiting for team-mates to arrive - Callum Stephens was the first one there, and he delivered a stinging shot, which burst through the hands of the South Park keeper and K's had their sixth goal. Goal number seven arrived two minutes later when Iker Noguera Leon's bullet shot from distance hit nothing but net.
The goals kept a-comin', in the 73rd minute Alex Body completed his second four-goal tally in two weeks, when he received a long pass from Kwesi Ntim, and his shot from about 15 yards out hit the back of the net. South Park can be commended for their attitude in this game, they never let their heads go down and kept battling for absolutely everything, and they got their second goal from a Chinondo Okeke 81st minute penalty after the referee adjudged that K's keeper Shay Honey had fouled a home forward when coming out to make a save.
K's would have the last word in the 83rd minute thanks to another long distance strike from Iker Noguera Leon after the referee had overruled his assistant's waving of his flag for an apparent offside.
Next week both K's Under 18s teams will be action - the Combined Counties League team commence their season with a visit to Godalming Town on Monday night (7.45pm) whilst the Isthmian team are at home on Thursday night to Leatherhead, kick-off at Raynes Park Vale FC will be 7.45pm. Meanwhile, we wait until tomorrow night for Three Bridges and Chertsey Town to battle it out in order to decide who will visit the K's in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup in roughly a fortnight's time.
