Kingstonian 1-3 Leiston

3 months ago By Kingstonian FC

Play-off chasing Leiston too good on the day for the K's.

Kingstonian fell to a 3-1 defeat to promotion chasing Leiston today at Fetcham Grove.

One minute and 18 seconds into the match Christy Finch's super volley shocked the home side and gave the Blues the lead.

K's did wake up and played their part in the match but were not able to put much pressure on Marcus Garnham's goal, but it was unfortunate in the 75th minute when Rob Bartley diverted a cross into his own net to double Leiston's lead. Before the web guru could type the goal into the FWP system, Toby Ajala smashed a goal in from over thirty yards out to give K's hope but Jake Reed finished off the home team's hopes and Leiston improved their play-off credentials with a 3-1 victory.

K's are next in action on Monday night when Staines Town are the visitors to Fetcham Grove, kick-off is at 7.45pm.
